Who We Are

Founded in 1997 by Erol Alexander (our sole owner to this day) and based in sunny Chandler, Arizona, Safari Micro is a privately held, value added reseller (“VAR”) of IT hardware, software, and IT services to businesses, school districts, state municipalities, and governmental agencies of all sizes across the United States. Since our inception, we have steadily grown by being laser focused on both the needs of our clients and employees. Erol left his role as an account manager at a large Phoenix based IT VAR to start Safari. He started our company because he wanted to create a kinder, gentler, employee-centric VAR that was truly focused on taking care of its people (well that, AND he wanted the freedom to walk his daughter to school each morning, and wear flip flops into the office…this is hot and sunny Arizona after all!). he truly believes that if you take care of your employees, they will take care of our customers. It’s a simple equation, which doesn’t seem so simple to find in this day and age: Happy employees equal happy customers. Seems to be working so far…

So since 1997, we have succeeded in hiring and retaining an ever growing team of friendly, extremely responsive (a key to success in this industry), customer focused account managers. The vast majority of whom have spent their entire professional career navigating the ever-changing landscape of this complex IT industry. They have spent their entire career in this industry for one reason: they are the BEST at what they do. Whether it’s assisting you with your IT hardware/software procurement needs or providing IT services, our goal is simple: LISTEN to what you tell us in order to craft the optimal IT solution to your business problem at a price that makes sense for your budget, all while providing impeccable communication with you throughout the entire process to make this as easy as possible on you (and on your organization). We truly want to be considered a trusted partner of yours for the long haul. We know it takes time to build that trust, and to accomplish that, we genuinely believe that it really is our job to make you look amazing within your organization (even though you probably already do!). We have extremely strong partnerships within this industry with both large and small manufacturers and distributors to ensure that we can provide you with everything you need, exactly when you need it. To complement our VAR, we created Safari Micro IT Services for one key reason:  To successfully deliver a comprehensive array of IT services while providing the same level of impeccable customer responsiveness and honest pricing that we have always provided to our VAR clients.  These IT services consist of both monthly “managed services” offerings, and transactional project-based consulting services.  However, this is not simply a “transactional” business for us.  We are here to provide you with full transparency and ongoing support before, during, and long after we have successfully implemented the IT solution that solves your problems.

So what makes us “different” from the plethora of IT service providers out there?  Simple…it’s our high quality PEOPLE and CONSISTENT COMMUNICATION with our clients.  We take a great deal of pride in the positive personality, skill set and 100% customer focus that embodies every member of our technical services team.  All of our team members have high expectations for themselves, and that translates to your project being done right, within budget, the first time.  Sure, hiccups can occasionally arise…but our dedicated project management team will always ensure that they are immediately on top of any unforeseen issues.  The old saying goes, “Good people are hard to find.”  Well we think that we have found great people, and we would love for you to meet them.  Every member of our technical services team has a genuine desire to provide you with the services you need in the most honest and transparent way possible. We want you to understand exactly what you’re putting into your IT environment and why you’re putting it there. That may sound ridiculously obvious to some people, but we have unfortunately seen a number of our new clients who were advised by their former IT services provider to purchase an exorbitant amount of hardware, software, or cloud services that they simply didn’t need. That’s not what we call a partnership. That’s what we call a robbery.
