Professional advisers

We may disclose information to attorneys, accountants, auditors, insurers, financial advisers, consultants, and other professional advisers when reasonably necessary.

Legal, regulatory, and safety disclosures

We may disclose personal information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or legal process; respond to a lawful government or regulatory request; investigate fraud, abuse, or a security incident; protect the rights, safety, property, or security of Safari Micro or another person; enforce an agreement; or establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.

7Sale and Sharing of Personal Information

Safari Micro does not sell personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration.

Safari Micro does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as "sharing" is defined under the CCPA.

During the preceding 12 months, Safari Micro has not knowingly sold or shared the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

Operational disclosures to service providers, contractors, manufacturers, distributors, fulfillment providers, and other recipients described in this policy are made for legitimate business purposes and are not intended to constitute a sale or sharing of personal information.

If our practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any notices, links, consent mechanisms, and opt-out methods required by applicable law before beginning the new activity.

8Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

The Website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate securely, remember preferences, understand Website performance, measure engagement, and improve our services. Cookies are small files placed on a browser or device. Similar technologies may include pixels, tags, scripts, local storage, and server-side measurement tools.

Strictly necessary technologies

These technologies are required for Website operation, security, fraud and abuse prevention, network management, form submission, load balancing, privacy preference storage, and other essential functionality. Strictly necessary technologies cannot be disabled through our cookie preference center because the Website may not function properly without them.

Analytics and performance technologies

With your permission where required, these technologies may help us understand which pages are viewed, how visitors navigate the Website, which content is useful, whether forms and features operate correctly, whether an assessment or contact form was successfully submitted, how visitors reached the Website, and how Website performance can be improved.

We do not intentionally provide information submitted within contact or assessment forms, such as the contents of a message or an organization's name, to analytics providers for advertising purposes.

Functional technologies

With your permission where required, these technologies may remember settings or enable enhanced Website features.

Advertising and targeting technologies

Safari Micro does not currently use cookies or similar technologies to sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. If we introduce advertising, remarketing, or targeting technologies in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide legally required notices and choices before activating those technologies.

10Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

Global Privacy Control

Where required by applicable law, Safari Micro recognizes qualifying browser-based opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control. Because Safari Micro does not currently sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, a Global Privacy Control signal does not result in an additional opt-out from those activities. Where technically supported, we may also use a qualifying Global Privacy Control signal to apply available preferences to optional Website technologies. If Safari Micro begins selling or sharing personal information, we will treat qualifying opt-out preference signals as requests to opt out as required by applicable law.

Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a general "Do Not Track" setting. There is not currently a uniform industry standard governing how websites should respond to Do Not Track signals, and the Website may not respond to those signals. Global Privacy Control is different from a general Do Not Track setting and will be handled as described above.

11Marketing Communications

You may unsubscribe from promotional emails by selecting the unsubscribe link included in the message or by contacting privacy@safarimicro.com.

Even after you unsubscribe from promotional communications, Safari Micro may continue to send non-promotional communications concerning an active inquiry, a requested quote or assessment, a transaction, a customer or partner relationship, product licensing or renewal, technical or customer support, security, contractual obligations, or legal or regulatory matters.

12California Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable legal exceptions and verification requirements, California residents may have the following rights.

Right to know and access

You may request information concerning the categories of personal information we collected about you, the categories of sources, the business or commercial purposes for collecting or using the information, the categories of recipients to whom information was disclosed, the categories of personal information sold or shared (if any), and the specific pieces of personal information we collected about you.

Right to delete

You may request deletion of personal information that we collected from you, subject to exceptions permitted by law. For example, we may retain information needed to complete a transaction, provide a requested service, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, exercise legal rights, or perform another legally permitted function.

Right to correct

You may request correction of inaccurate personal information maintained about you.

Right to opt out of sale or sharing

You may opt out of the sale of personal information or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising. Safari Micro does not currently engage in either activity.

Right to limit use of sensitive personal information

California residents may have the right to limit certain uses and disclosures of sensitive personal information. Safari Micro does not use or disclose sensitive personal information through the general Website in a manner that ordinarily requires providing this right.

Right to data portability

Where applicable, you may request a portable copy of certain personal information in a readily usable format.

Right to non-discrimination

Safari Micro will not unlawfully discriminate or retaliate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

13Exercising Your Privacy Rights

Mailing Address: 2185 W. Pecos Road, Suite 9, Chandler, Arizona 85224

Please identify the privacy right you wish to exercise and provide sufficient information for us to locate relevant records.

Verification

To protect personal information, we may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Verification may involve confirming information already maintained by Safari Micro, confirming control of an email address or telephone number, requesting information reasonably necessary to match you with relevant records, or requesting a signed declaration where permitted by law. Information submitted for verification will be used only for verification, security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. We may be unable to fulfill a request if we cannot reasonably verify your identity or authority.

Authorized agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a privacy request on your behalf. We may require written and signed authorization, evidence that the agent is authorized to act for you, verification of the agent's identity, and direct confirmation that you authorized the request. These requirements may not apply where an agent has a valid power of attorney under applicable law.

Response timing

We will confirm receipt and respond within the periods required by applicable law. We may extend the response period when reasonably necessary and permitted by law. If an extension is required, we will provide notice explaining the reason. We may deny or limit a request when a legal exception applies, we cannot verify the request, the information is not reasonably associated with the requester, fulfilling the request would adversely affect another person's rights, the request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, or another lawful basis permits denial.

14Privacy Rights in Other U.S. States

Residents of certain other states may have privacy rights, subject to whether the applicable law applies to Safari Micro and to relevant exceptions. Depending on your state, these rights may include the right to confirm whether we process personal information, access personal information, correct inaccuracies, delete personal information, obtain a portable copy of certain information, opt out of targeted advertising, opt out of the sale of personal information, opt out of certain profiling or automated decision-making, and appeal the denial of a privacy request.

Safari Micro does not currently sell personal information, use personal information for cross-context targeted advertising, or use personal information to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

You may submit a request using the methods listed in Section 13. Where applicable law provides a right to appeal, you may appeal our decision by emailing privacy@safarimicro.com with the subject line Privacy Request Appeal and explaining the basis for your appeal.

15Data Retention

Safari Micro retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary and proportionate for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. The criteria used to determine retention periods include:

  • The time needed to provide a product, service, license, warranty, renewal, or support;
  • Contractual commitments;
  • Customer service and relationship-management needs;
  • Tax, accounting, audit, and recordkeeping obligations;
  • Security, fraud-prevention, system-integrity, and incident-response needs;
  • Applicable statutes of limitation;
  • Actual or anticipated disputes;
  • Legal, regulatory, insurance, and governmental requirements;
  • Recruiting and employment recordkeeping obligations; and
  • Whether information can be aggregated or deidentified instead of retained in identifiable form.

When personal information is no longer reasonably necessary, we take appropriate steps to delete, destroy, anonymize, or deidentify it, subject to technical limitations, backup cycles, and lawful retention obligations.

16Data Security

Safari Micro uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, acquisition, alteration, disclosure, loss, misuse, or destruction. Safeguards may include access controls, authentication measures, network and endpoint security, encryption where appropriate, monitoring and logging, security policies and procedures, vendor-management practices, employee training, and incident-response procedures.

No method of transmission over the Internet, electronic storage, or security system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Please do not submit passwords, confidential system credentials, financial account information, government identification numbers, health information, or other sensitive information through general Website forms.

17Third-Party Websites and Services

The Website may contain links to websites, portals, applications, scheduling services, social-media platforms, products, or services operated by third parties.
